what to do for a 17 yr old
Hello, I don't post much on here but looking for some opinions. I have a 17 yr old female cousin coming to visit us for a week. Any tips on cool places she might like to see ( other than usual touristy spots) or fun places to eat? Thanks for any help.

Re: what to do for a 17 yr old
el vez and north bowl come to mind.
what is she into because when i was 17 i thought i was pretty badass. i thought south street was cool, listened to punk and enjoyed smoking black cigarettes so i might not be the best person to ask.
I'm gonna say that I thought South Street was pretty cool as a 19 year old when I visited some friends in college here. And shopping on Walnut Street would have probably been my thing. I'd also probably think the Piazza is cool... maybe Love Park for tacos & cupcakes from Guapos Taco and the Buttercream Cupcake truck.
Maybe the boutiques in Old City?
this. but sub in malrboro lights and clove cigarrettes. and a lot of liz phair.
clove cigarettes are black cigs! or at least in jersey.
This, but sub in Menthol Lights and flannel and a big crush on Evan Dando. I might as well have taken up residence on South Street back then. I miss my 17 year old self.
crap-i LOVED evan dando. I remember reading an article in Sassy where he made some comment about how if Peggy Noonan married Ted Knight, she'd be Peggy Noonan Knight. I totally didn't get it but thought he was soooooooo cool.
I saw the Lemonheads at the Troc when I was 15 and I swore my life was complete lol
Thanks for the suggestions! I am not originally from Philly. My husband is a great cook so we eat in a lot. I'm a sheltered Philly gal, lol!
In other words, all of you reliving your youths did not help in the search......
hahaha
I was 28 when I went to South Street for the first time.
I didn't like it
NO WAY! That's crazy!
I lived a sheltered life.
