UGH! This week has gotten of to a terrible start. I had a customer call me @ 4:57 on Friday raising he11 that she didn't get her brick delivery. I told her that it would be there Monday afternoon but that wasn't good enough. I apologized for the inconvience & told her that we deliver the materials within 2 to 3 business days after delivery & Monday afternoon was with in that time frame. More & louder yelling & screaming from her. I offered to refund her money which she refused & began yelling again. Long story short I had to raise my voice to get her to listen & told her that she could choose one of 2 things either I could refund her $$ or she could have it delivered Monday afternoon. She wanted to speak with my boss & I told her that he was outof town & I offered her HIS boss's # which she refused at first but then decided that she wanted. I called him as soon as I got off the phone with her to give him a heads up.
It seemed all was settled but she called back this morning & decided to have her money refunded. I was as nice to her as you can imagine. Any nicer & honey would have been dripping from my lips. So I told her that we'd mail her a check. Not good enough. I told her we don't keep that kind of cash here (she paid by check) & that I could have a check to mailed to her & she'd recieve it by the end of the week. She told me that if is not in her mail box by friday she was going to the Magistrate Court Judge & would sue us. I told her to give him my name as the contact person.
UGGGHHH!!!!

Holy cow that lady needs a chill pill! I'm sure she has no foundation for sueing so let her talk, we tell people who threaten to sue "you do what you have to do". It probably pisses them off :-) heehee.

I have to wonder how people like that function in society. I always feel like they must be very unhappy people if they have to always get their way. It sounds like you handled that perfectly, and deserve a cookie.
I hate when you have crazy people like that, who just biitch and moan about everything. Your company did nothing wrong, sorry if she was hoping things would be done on the earlier side. Doesn't always work like that.
I am proud of you for handling it so well, sometimes killing them with kindness is the way to go!
