Re: PG/Mom Check-In

  • Lovethesun: I'm hoping you aren't going to be posting today b/c you are either in labor or getting adjusted to mommy-hood! Sending lots of T&P your way!

Kristina: I can't believe next Tuesday you are going to be Welcoming baby Jax into the world. I'm sure Ms. Ava is getting super excited to be a big sister.

I have an appointment Friday and they will do my Group B strep test then (honestly I feel its a little late, but better than never I suppose.) I've been having irregular contractions, which is fine with me... lets me know my body is preparing itself for Little Man's arrival. I still feel like I have a forever long list of things that need to be done before he gets here. I guess that is what each morning and night is going to be filled with until he makes his debut.

  • Between Rob and I we have 12 friends who are expecting babies in the next four months (one is already past her due date and is miserable). We are going to be so broke with baby showers, and I am seriously getting baby fever like whoa. Not good.

Bean is so adorable. But she needs more kid friends. Every time we go out and she sees kids she bonds with them immediately. Also, she is still singing. When Yo Gabba Gabba comes on she sings along in her own jibber-jabber but totally in tune. It's creepy and awesome. I love this stage so much.

  • I've been doing great!  Other than some random aches and pains, still being tired, and no longer sleeping great, I barely feel pregnant some days.  Morning sickness is long gone and I'm officially showing and in all maternity clothes.  I got a denim skirt and shorts this weekend that I love!

In even better news, DH agreed to move out of our apartment in September or October at the latest!  I am SOOO excited!  I liked our place before I got pregnant, but now being on the 4th floor with no elevator is killing me.  Add in no A/C in a miserable Chicago summer (hotter than FL some days Sad) and 1 small bedroom with no where to put baby or baby stuff and I've been going nuts.  I think we're going to move to the suburbs and I'm thrilled.  I cannot wait to have more space, the ability to park our car in less than 30 minutes, and a room to prep for baby!!

  • If anyone could use formula checks, let me know. I keep hanging on to them, but I don't need them and just had to throw out a ton that were expired. I have at least 10 that are good into October- mostly Similac but a couple Enfamil.

  • Zoe is completely harness free! It became part of our bedtime routine to put it on when we put her to bed, but thankfully she hasn't had any trouble sleeping at night. We continue to struggle with naps. No matter what I do, she will not sleep longer than 30 minutes. I've been trying to wear her out more, but nothing seems to help. She rubs her eyes and yawns, but hasn't been cranky so this will have to be good enough. As long as she's not crying, I'm happy. (She was getting fussy for a while there because she was tired and refused to sleep).

We gave her some rice cereal the other day because she has been eating like crazy (like every 2 hours during the day - my supply has definitely increased too, though - and I'm STARVING all the time). She wasn't really interested in eating, but she had fun playing with it, lol! We will just take it slowly and see how it goes. We go to CT the day she turns 6 months so I think we will get more into solids when we get home. If my MIL gives her stuff behind my back I will be so mad! Needless to say, she will not be left alone with Zoe! I am still irked by the pacifier incidents.

  • I am fat, cranky, tired, uncomfortable and I am pretty sure I hate my husband at this particular juncture.  LOL kidding about that last part of course.....I think he is nesting.  He's been going crazy in the nursery hanging things and getting stuff finished so I can't be too harsh.

I am so damn ready for this kid to get out of me.  He is ready too, I can feel it.

Come on next Tuesday, let's hurry up and get here please.

  • I'm feeling really good.  There have actually been a few minutes this week that I forgot I am PG.  While I'm sitting.  While standing my back is pretty painful.  I can't wait for my massage on Wednesday, hopefully it helps.

Other than that I have my 20 week appt on the 19th of August.  Super excited to find out what we are having for sure *fingers crossed*

  • My EDD is 2/22/12....I just looked at that and it seems so funny to me for some reason.  Right now I'm still trying to hide that I am PG from work until I get past the first tri but it is getting harder that not all my professional clothes fit too great.  Of course all of our friends and family know at this point so I keep my fingers crossed that nobody spills the beans by accident.  Next appt is Aug. 16 and hoping for a good u/s.
  • feeling good, watching my belly morph all around from the baby moving, going in next week for 28 wk check up, my kitty is sick and having loose stools and its really hard to keep the house clean while hubbys at work cause i know i have to stay away from her poopy :( it makes me sad though that i cant help out with her more! i think im just going to bring a box of gloves and masks home from work and do it...

That's close to what my due date was this year. :) Hard to believe a year ago I was in your shoes! Time flies!
