It's Monday!
How was your weekend, ladies and gentleman?
Any big plans for the week?
It looks like as of today the extreme heat is gone... Thank god!
I had a great weekend, it was just too short. I went out with 2 girlfriends on Friday night and it was so much fun. Saturday we ran some errands, went out to dinner, and went for a long walk. Yesterday we went to a cook out at the IL's.
No big plans for this week. DS has a doctor's appointment tomorrow. DH will be gone all week. And... that's about it!
Re: It's Monday!
We went out to eat way too much. Mexican friday night. Saturday morning, I took DS to the beach for his photos. Saturday, DH really wanted to see annoying friend and her DH so we met them for lunch. She annoyed me (no shock there) by asking me about #2 and when I said I wasn't ready yet, I'm really enjoying DS as I think he is such a good baby and she retorted with, "Well you have nothing to compare him to."
I had dinner with the moms from baby group Saturday night which was a lot of fun and very nice to GTG and just chat without the babies!
Yesterday we looked at some bicycles for DH, ate at Mellow Mushroom, then went grocery shopping. My good friend from Boston (who also lives here) came over for dinner!
Whew.
Friday night, we chilled out at home and then woke up early on Saturday and drove up to our place in Maine. I sat outside for too long and overheated myself/ probably dehydrated as well. I had sat in the shade for most of the afternoon but my legs were in the sun. I didn't feel hot but I could tell something was off and I was a bit of a disaster that night (cranky/ grumpy/ blah).
Sunday, we didn't even go outside, we hung out in the morning and then drove home. No more sun for me this weekend! We watched a movie and then True Blood last night.
I have to say, DS is certainly at his most fun age so far. He is such a blast. I want 8 months to last forever!
What a peach!
We hard birthing class all day Saturday, and spent Sunday catching up on some home projects. The weekend went by way too quickly.
On Friday we met up with a friend for dinner and ice cream at Cabot's. His wife and daughter are spending several weeks overseas with her family and he only gets to hang out with them the first and last weeks of the trip so he's missing them big time. And apparently has only been feeding himself salads while they're gone, so a burger was in order on Friday night, haha!
Saturday was the tournament. It ended up starting late because of the pouring rain in the morning and while it got a bit hot the rest of the day, it was still much better than Friday and there was actually a nice breeze a lot of the time. Our team didn't do well at all but we still had fun
And the super good news is that none of my injuries flared up or caused pain the next day--hooray!
Sunday we went to a Cadillac driving and culinary challenge event that I'd forgotten we signed up for. Mostly we went because I wanted to see Jonathan Waxman, who's been a Top Chef Masters contestant a couple of times--not because of the cars
We did some shopping while there (the event was at Legacy Place) and then spent the rest of the day running errands.
Punky, your friend sounds like a real charmer. Jeesh.
Friday, I had some drinks with work peeps, then came home and had some more. I felt like death on Saturday. But we got a Zipcar and ran some errands - Target, the liquor store, and lunch at Wild Willy's. (The Wild Willy's definitely helped the hangover.) We finally made it to Russo's, and now I'm annoyed that we don't have a car to get over there more often, heh. Saturday night, we watched Hamlet 2 for the 20th time, and I crashed at like 930.
Yesterday, I took the dog out once in the morning and once before bed, and that was pretty much the only time I left the house. I read a little, watched some tv, and napped. And today, *coughmyhusbandanditooksickdays*, so we're hanging out. I have a massage in the Square at 5, so I'm terrified that I'm going to run into someone from work, but whatever. I'm not giving up my massage!

I was there yesterday and thought of you. Hope it wasn't too much of a zoo!
