pregnancy scare please help!

i think i was just worrying unnecessarily because this is my first time using the pill and it's a lot of new stuff to think about. thanks for all your advice everyone!
i lost my virginity about two weeks ago, i am on my 4th pack of ocella and we used condoms correctly every time we had sex (bf is not a virgin and has used condoms before). i take the pill like clockwork and am not on any other medications....i am 25 if i matters...
i usually get my period on the 4th day of my sugar pills, which is today, and its not here yet (although it has been extremely light since starting the pill)... tell me i am probably being ridiculous. is it too early to take a preg test? or is it a waste of money since they are expensive..

the first thing you need to do is calm down. stress can make your periods out of wack. if you have been as religious about your birth control as you say then you are fine, especially if you used a condom.
if you read the information that comes with your pills then you will see that it says you may not have a period every month. if you are really nervous take a test. you can get one at walmart for between three and seven dollars.

If your period is truly late, you can take a test now.
But if you take your pill correctly AND used condoms, it's HIGHLY unlikely that you're pregnant. I mean, near impossible.
Take a test just to rule it out and give you peace of mind.

If you ever need a pregnancy test you can get them at the dollar store and they work the same as the more expensive ones. You just pee in a cup and drop it on the test, instead of peeing on the stick.
Try not to worry the pill works very well when taken correctly.

The pill works well when used correctly. Try not to worry. If you get tired of remembering the pill the Mirena IUD is the BEST!
