*Eagles and Amy*

I forgot to tell you guys, but DH and I ate at Dock's Oyster House when we were in AC.  And it was excellent!  We had such a great experience there and I promised them I'd write a tripadvisor review, but I keep forgetting.

We got some kind of seafood sampler thing for 2 which was amazing - lobster, crabmeat, oysters, clams, mussels, and ceviche.  And I had diver sea scallops with risotto for dinner (exactly what I had been craving) and DH and red snapper with crab meat. Omg. Everything was to die for.

We got two desserts which we were told were all homemade - key lime pie and banana caramel pie.  The banana pie was so effing good.

And I drank 3 martinis and got loaded.  It was fabulous.  I would go back there in a heartbeat.

  • Awesome, I am so glad you enjoyed it!  It is nice to get out of the casinos and have a great meal at a non-gimmicky great restaurant

How was the rest of your weekend there?

  • Absolutely!  We stayed at the Chelsea, so it was really close by too.

Hotel was nice, not as swanky as they make it out to be by any means, but it was super cheap so I wasn't expecting the Ritz or anything.  I was impressed with the room though.  The beach was great - not crowded at all and they have free loungers, towels, and umbrellas which was a sweet bonus. I'm used to Wildwood where you walk like a mile to the beach dragging all of your stuff, burning your feet.  It was such a pleasurable experience to just walk down and have someone else set your stuff up for you. :-)

We also ate at Chelsea Prime because I had this Travelzoo deal that came with a pre-fixe dinner for 2.  My expectations were kind of low but holy crap, that place was pretty great.  The restaurant is really romantic and overlooks the ocean, there happened to be a full moon while we were there so it was gorgeous.  The cocktails there were out of this world and the ambiance was better.  Food was definitely good, but Dock's was better.

Other than that, we just did the typical casinos/shopping thing. One night we were kinda bored and DH wouldn't let me have any more money to blow, so we sat outside one of those 10 min massage parlors on the boardwalk and just watched people go in and out. Good times.

And before we left, we ate at Hooters. Yup.
