random WR question
how long does it take for a bm dress to come in?
I need to order a dress for a wedding end of December and planned to order mid August. I got an email from the MOH that states if I do not order my dress by the end of this month I will not be in the wedding, as I have no dress.
Does it really take four months for a dress to be ordered? Alfred Angelo if that's any help.

I ordered the BM dress for my sister's wedding in August, it barely got here before Christmas.
My BMs ordered their dresses in July, they got here in early November.
I don't know about Alfred Angelo. We ordered ours from Pearl's Place and I think we ordered in Jan and got them in April.
Can you not order it earlier just to make everyone happy? Better to have it earlier than later anyway, and that way they won't stress about it.

I know I should order it now, but it's not a budgeted expense. (rather it was but then i had car problems)

I forget how difficult and annoying wedding tasks are . I need to be more cooperative, dont wanna be the bad bm.
Kudos for all these comments. My friend was a PITA about dresses - I said black, similar fabrics (not clashing like satin and organza), tea length or longer. 5 weeks before my wedding they still didn't have their dresses. That is the only thing I went bridezilla about.

Even though they don't normally take that long (3 months is about average), the dress shops like to scare brides into ordering that far in advance. And it usually works.
But yes, in your case, I would just go ahead and order it to appease the bride.
It'll probably come in late October.
