Weekend plans?

What is everyone up to this hot hot weekend?

I'm trying to finish as much as I humanly can on my theory final and Beethoven analysis (I should finish the Beethoven today just fine, but the theory final has me stumped!) so I can justify going to see HP7pt2 this afternoon and dinner out this evening.

Tomorrow, groceries, a little cleaning, and a lot of score study for conducting.

Re: Weekend plans?

  • Had my wisdom teeth taken out Friday morning at 8:30. It went really well. Mom and Dad had to come pick me up because the a/c in my house was still kaput. We stopped at some random gas station on I-40 W on the way to their house for me to pee, and there was a western clothing store inside. Really random, but I was feelin' pretty good on pain meds, and they ended up buying me some new boots. Score! :) H stayed in OKC until the guys came to fix our a/c (broken capacitor), and then drove down to my parents'. I've been trying to get him to start Six Feet Under for 3+ years, and we finally started season 1 yesterday. BEST SHOW, EVER.

Feeling great today, just a little weak and tired. Will probably eat more ice cream, drink more fluids, and just hang out with Mom. H is wanting to go look at a VW bus for sale in a nearby town, so I might ride with him to do that.

Tomorrow will be more of the same, then driving back to OKC. Not the most exciting weekend, but it's been good. I'm so thankful that everything's gone smoothly!

  • I'm writing quizzes today, going to a book club this afternoon, and watching at least another couple of episodes of Season 2 of The Wire tonight.
  • I'm going to the gym this afternoon, the the rest of the day will be a mix of cleaning, reading, and catching up on our DVRed shows.

Tomorrow is more of the same, plus a farewell dinner with a friend who got a new job and is moving out of state.

  • Well, I'm 9 days out from my hip surgery now. I'm in that frustrating phase where I feel pretty good, but my mobility and energy level prevent me from doing too much. So, lots of reading and movies going on at my house still.

DH did take me to crutch around the new Target in Moore this morning, and we are going to go out for a quick dinner tonight. Tomorrow we'll go to church, but that's probably all I'll be able to do for the day.

Doesn't seem like I'm missing much being cooped up in the house...unless I can be in a pool, it's just too hot to do much out there!

  • I thought Target didn't open until tomorrow?  I'll probably make a trip tomorrow either way.

I did a half marathon in Dallas today and I expect to laze around a bit tomorrow.

  • We camped with some friends this weekend. I drank way to much lastnight and surprisingly I didn't wake up with a headache. Today we are going to C's nieces bday party in Blanchard so I needto quit being lazy and get around since it's a 2 hour drive for us and we still have to stop and get her a gift

  • Had lunch with a great friend on Friday. Went to visit the pony after that and check on his sore knee. Then headed down to the new Moore Target (yay!), and went home for the evening.

Saturday morning the same friend from Friday brought her son out the barn. He loves animals, but has no experience working with horses and wanted to learn. So we spent several hours there and I taught him about handling horses, how to groom, saddle, etc. I had a blast teaching him!

Today hubs and I saw Captain America (or, as I prefer, Captain Sexypants. Good Lord). Then was back at the barn after that to take care of that darn knee. Story of my life these days.

  • We had a low key weekend.

Friday night DH picked up some sushi for dinner and we ate it after M went to bed.

Saturday we finally got to see HP pt.2 and the ILs took M for the afternoon. We ate at 5Guys burgers (great BTW) and walked around the new Target before the movie started. I bought 2 new pictures for our guest bedroom. I'm going to change it up. I'm not really feeling the black and white Paris theme that was happening. After the movie we went by Borders and I was very underwelmed by the books and the prices there, but I did get M a couple of books. That night we went to Carino's with the ILs and I ate way too much.

Sunday was church, lunch with friends, and grocery shopping.

Where is the 5 Guys burgers you speak of? I ate at the one in Orlando last year and it was so good.
