T&P for my Grammie
Hey ladies. It seems like it's been so long since it was scheduled, but if you wouldn't mind keeping my grandmother in your T&P tomorrow morning I'd appreciate it. She goes in for her carotid artery surgery at 9am. My mom should hear something from the doctors by 11am and should be able to see her soon thereafter. She will be kept overnight in the ICU and hopefully be discharged on Wed. If she remains in the hospital I will be driving up to visit on Wed, if she gets discharged, I'll be driving up on Thursday. Alexi, M, and I will also be going up on Saturday or Sunday to visit as well depending on how she's feeling.
We are all super nervous about how her 91 yo body will handle the anesthesia. My mom arrived into town safely yesterday. My grandmother hasn't been feeling well again and is having pain from her muscle disease, but the doctors wanted her as med-free as possible for surgery, so she is off the steroids that would help until after surgery.
