upcycling a dress to a tote/purse
I did a closet purge a couple of weeks ago and found a dress that I will never wear again, but I love the print so much. I was going to donate it, but then had a brainstorm to upcycle it into a purse or tote.
I quilt and have sewn pillow covers and curtains and such, but I haven't made anything wearable. Wish me luck!
And does anyone have a link to a good purse/tote tutorial? I am thinking that I will probably make a trial one first so I don't risk the fabric I love.
