DH and I had an appt. with our real estate agent to see a few houses yesterday and we were really excited about it. Apparently we have tattoos on our forehead saying "please screw us over!" Our agent totally forgot about us and stood us up! I'm getting frustrated with the process of buying a home, our first agent was totally worthless (showing up to appts really late, extremely hard to get ahold of, trying to show us a 55 and over community property, etc...) and now this agent completely forgets about us!
Okay, vent over, thanks for reading

Re: Effff, frustrated!
Um, no. Completely unacceptable. I've worked at a real estate company for 6 years now and I've never once heard of one my agents forgetting about meeting their clients. I'm sure just b/c I've never heard about it, doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but I still say it's completely unacceptable. I'd be looking for a new agent and calling that agent's broker and complaining. Sorry you're going through this!!
I'd be more than frustrated. (You can join Nancy on my List of People Who I'm Pisssed on Behalf of!)
Good luck with your search. If you decide to fire your agent, Vicki Kovar is a family friend and a fantastic CBS agent. She'd NEVER stand you up!

I tried to pm you, but for some reason the Nest sucks and won't let me.
Anyway, our friend is an agent, and a really nice guy.
His name is William Gilbert. He sold us our house, and we had a really good experience.

That is not to be expected. We had the suckiest real estate agent ever when we first started looking for houses. He honest to God took us to an abandoned crack house down in NE Omaha.
Luckily, we found Shari Thomas, and she is fabulous! She was so flexible with us, and was available whenever we needed her. If we were searching during dinner time, she would take us to dinner. She really listens to what you want, and ended up helping us decide between two houses this last time. I think she had a better idea of what we wanted than we did! we worked with Billy too and he was really nice! http://www.godeeb.com/agents/details.asp?agent=965176
My brother-in-law (if I ever gave in and got married, of course.. no thanks).

He helped us get our house, and in our neighborhood (starter homes), there are quite a few for sale. Coyote Run at 190th and Q.
When we bought our property, we saw it ourselves, and needed to jump on it asap because it was a foreclosure, and priced really nice. So, we went through our friend - we called him for 3 days, asking him to write our offer.
He wouldnt get off his arse.
So, we made a call to a guy in town here that our other friends have used, and he had it wrote up and we signed the paperwork 2 hours later.
There are motivated agents, and lazy agents. You need to find a motivated one! DO NOT go back to the one that forgot about you. they dont deserve your time, your money, or your business. They are working for YOU!! They are making a lot of money from YOU! At least they could be respectful of your time, and be more organized.
