Poll: Things you dread

To get this board rolling, what are your most hated tasks? i.e. household chores, beauty regimens, visiting relatives.

Re: Poll: Things you dread

  • Good one. I dread: annuals at the gyno, waxing, weeding, and going to funerals.

  • Getting gas for the car. I don't know when this started, but it's become one of my most hated things recently.

I always dread cleaning the kitchen. Our kitchen is tiny and it's a pain to clean because there's just  not enough room in there for everything.  H is much better at it than I am but he gets annoyed at doing it all the time (which is understandable) so I take a crack at it but ugh it annoys  me ha.

I do kind of dread going to visit H's family. His parents house is just......awkward. like I dont think even H feels comfortable there.  I like his parents (mostly ha) and I like his aunt and her family and I enjoy hanging out with his friends up there, but the house itself is very awkward for me.

    • Plucking eyebrows
    • Cleaning out the kitchen sink drain
    • Visiting my great aunt and uncle
    • Gyno appointments
    • Cutting up raw chicken
    • Figuring out how many houses we have to hit on the holidays and people we have to see that we don't want to
  • Going to the gyno, some relatives, laundry, tests, coming home to a messy house!

  • Deep cleaning - I don't mind straightening up, but I hate dusting and the like

    cleaning the kitty litter.

holidays at H's grandma's house.  His family is huge and somebody is always in a bad mood, dinner is always late, I'm not allowed to help cook, it's boring as hell, and H always insists on getting there fairly early and staying long enough to help clean up.   I mostly like his extended family, but all of them in one house drive me nuts.  I want to be like his fellow grown-up cousins who breeze in for an hour or two and breeze right back out, but he won't do it.

  • Vacuuming the stairs

Making phone calls - I'll do pretty much anything to avoid this

Cleaning the litter box - luckily DH still does this

    Doing my timesheet at work

  • Going to the dentist, cleaning hair out of the shower drain, cleaning bathrooms, scooping cat litter, taking my car in for maintenance, paying bills (not just from the watching money leave the account sense, but I just hate sitting down and taking care of all the payments), road trips

  • Oh I have lots haha this is sad...

    Cleaning dog poop
    Folding laundry
    Ironing
    Running when it's really hot
Traffic when I leave work late
    Cleaning bathrooms
    Getting my eyebrows waxed
    Pulling weeds

Introducing new dogs ever since the Bruno mishap.. not sure if I posted about it here but I had an English Bulldog that attacked Spike and ended up biting through my hand, fracturing it, and chipping my knuckle bone. It was hands down the scariest pet "thing" ever, I was home alone, and each time I tried to pull Bruno off blood flew everywhere (of course i have pictures, I'm gross like that). I didn't realize how much it upset me until I brought Nya home, I was shaking and made poor Nya drag a leash for 2 days until DH said it was enough :(

  • seeing my parents.  we have seriously run out of things to talk about, so after about 10-15 minutes it gets painful.

dealing w/ my financial advisor/retirement accounts.  I feel like I always have to have a conversation with them adn they go over all my accounts, etc. and I'm always like - yeah, I know, I just need to change one thing, but I have to go over everything every time.

bra shopping - I've been needing to get new bras for like a year, but I seriously cannot make myself do it.

  • Flying. I don't mind the airport and I don't mind the actual being high up, but I hate how cramped and uncomfortable planes are, not to mention the constant recycled air and germs.

    Bathing suit shopping. Enough said.

Football. I know, I know. I've tried, but I just hate it.

Folding laundry, cleaning drains, cleaning litter/backyard, gardening in the summer when there are tons of bugs.
