1. I bought a dress for my brothers wedding last night, but I'm not sure that I really want to wear it.
2. The dress is fuchsia, and I worry that it will be too bright for a fall wedding...
3. I also worry that my Future SIL will think the dress is inappropriate, although I know she would never say so.
8. I have been searching through my brothers wedding registry and I can't afford much of anything on the list
I feel we need to see a PIP of the dress (if possible) and then we can all help you decide.
However, whether or not you feel it's inappropriate, I think you should wear it simply to irritate SIL in retaliation for having such expensive tastes on her wedding registry.

Per your request, here is the dress! I fear that it might be too bright and too short. (Obviously this model is like 5'10" and it isn't quite that short on me, but i'm 5'7" so i still think it might be a little bit inappropriate.) I like it though, it looks nice on me. I have to talk to SIL and see what she thinks. I really wanted a darker color, like navy blue or royal purple, but the bridesmaids are wearing navy. I might just end up wearing a nice black dress that I have...

I worry that if we take family photos that everyone will be in dark colors (navys, greys, blacks, etc) and then I'd be the one person that sticks out in fuchsia. If It wasn't my brothers wedding I would wear the dress in a heart beat! I really do like it!!!

Yeah, the bridesmaids are all wearing navy, the groomsmen (including my little brother) and the fathers are wearing black suits with gray ties, and i know my mom is wearing blue. I'm the only one in the family who is not being told what to wear, but I feel like I should at least not stand out too much
I'll just call up my mom and see what she thinks, lol. I'm sure she'll have an opinion! (She always does)
But I think I will save the dress to wear for a different time!!! Although, it pains me that I paid full price for it....

It's from the Limited, so it wasn't TOO expensive... but I still hate to pay full price. I talked with my mom about it last night and I think i'm going to keep the dress, but keep looking to see if I find something better!
