Not going back to Vegas...(got a bit longish)
Me and Vegas aren't friends :-(
I appreciated the themed hotels and some of the restaurants were wonderful in food and service. But overall, not even close to my kind of scene. I was told that'd you could do a "different kind of Vegas" other than gambling, clubs, etc...and it was mostly hard to do.
Even the nice restaurants had pulsating club music and the smoke and alch was just reeking off of everyone in the heat...yuck.
I would just like to humiliate myself by sharing that I got heat exhaustion at the pool the first day, almost fainted, and had to stay indoors til it cooled off a bit...in my defense it was 108 degrees.
Then I ended my trip with food poisoning and the worst part was the hotel treated my friends and I like trash because they assumed we were just hungover from excessive partying when it was a legit sickness thing.
The lamest part is that it was from unwashed greens (we think) because I'm a freakin vegetarian and that's the only thing I ate differently then my friends at our delicious dinner the night before.
Needless to say I shouldn't have gone, I know myself too well. I prefer the kind of vacay that recharges, or at least isn't so full of...smoke? noise? skanky girls and horny boys??
Wish I'd called in sick today to recoop with my kittens!

Aw :-( That sucks, sorry it was not so much fun for you. Did you contact the restaurant that got you sick or anything? Maybe you weren't the only one.
Oh no. I hoped you would have some fun despite our reviews. I agree with the smoking - I used to smoke, but I really cannot stand the smell of it now that I have been off the wagon for a long while (5 years and counting yay).
Sorry to hear you got the food poisoning, that really stinks.

Oh no branz! Heat exhaustion and food poisoning all in the same trip? I think it's an omen to never to back to Las Vegas!
I've had food poisoning from unwashed lettuce before and it was the. worst. ever. So you have my utmost sympathy!
I guess you can tick off Vegas as a been there, done that and next vacation needs to be on a relaxing beach!

True that! I love the beach and I'm overdue for that sort of a trip. :-) Don't waste your time in Vegas Louie, you'll be sad too! Come to the beach with me instead, yay!

It is so unfair that you got sick on your trip!! As a vegetarian (me too!) you don't really except to get sick from your salad.
