Started talking to our photog about bpics (hoping that will be extra motivation to lose weight!), and she has a couple different options. Wondering what some of you ladies did
Did you do it at your house, or at their studio? She charges a little extra to come to the house (travel and equipment lugging around, etc - only $25 difference). What did you like/dislike about where you did the session?
Do a book thru photog, or did you get a CD with the images? The book she offers is like 35-40 pics (which seems like a good amount), the CD is $80 more than the book by itself. Is it worth it to have the digital images? then do a book through someone else?
I don't want to cheap out on this, but I don't want to spend unnecessary monies either. Thanks ladies!
Re: more questions for bpic ladies
We did it at a hotel. She had special backdrops and props all positioned in different areas of the room. I liked it because it felt sort of sultry- but didn't like the idea that girls had been rolling around in the bed before me (part of a marathon session).
I bought images- the woman who did mine was all digital, so there was no CD involved. I'm glad I did it the way I did because I am a control freak and wanted to not only pick all of the images but the placement and which ones needed editing.
I did my book through blurb. I was really happy with the way it turned out. I got a free book coupon for something and used that- my album is bound in black leather and there's a peekaboo shot in the cover of my head that when you open the page it's a full body shot.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Mine were done in a suite at a fancy hotel downtown but if I had the option between in studio and my home and pick home. Yes, you'll probably feel like you need to clean up more but you'd probably be more comfortable as well. Plus, with you being a master chef and all some sexy kitchen pictures would totally suit
If the cd is $80 more I would just do the book through her. I got the cd as part of my cost and made an album on Shutterfly. Jay has never looked through the disc but looks at the book frequently
I didn't put more than 40 images in the book so what she's offering seems reasonable.
Do them whether you lose weight or not; a good photographer will make you feel and look your sexiest no matter what. I'm no super model and I think my b-pics are the sexiest I've ever looked.
I also did a hotel. It was a really cool hotel though. I personally would pick wherever you would feel most comfortable and seductive. It helped in my case being a little out of my element. I felt like a Victoria's secret model.
I also got a CD done, but she didn't offer her own album.
I think getting my make-up done was well worth it also.
If you'd like I can e-mail you a couple pics.
yes please! favorite shots was probably going to be one of my next questions... lneuner09 at yahoo. Thanks Mel!
