I might be the only person in the world who feels this way, but I am so sad the lockout is over. I was sort of looking forward to a totally football free winter. I realize the financial ramifications of such a thing would be horrendous, so I guess it's good it's over for that reason. But, a girl can dream of a world where football doesn't exist. It would be a very happy place for me. A very very happy place.
*In this fairytale land, college football would be allowed. No NFL.
Re: Flameful Confession
I don't think that is too flameful. I can think of a few women who feel the same way. And I am sure there are some guys out there too.
I am the opposite though....I live for Sundays during football season, we make wings and crack dip and the like and put on our jerseys and it really makes the awful winter that much more enjoyable for me. I was really bummed about the possibility of no football.
See, I do those things without having football involved, well no jerseys obviously.

I just don't like pro-sports. Or any really. I don't like the screaming at the TV (STFU THEY CANNOT HEAR YOU), the obsession of OMG it's Sunday NO we cannot go do xyz. The constant incessant chatter about it. I am such a debbie downer when it comes to sports, football in particular
YES! The SB parties are it for me. And the only reason I like them, is because I love a good theme party.
We should be Sunday anti-football friends. I feel like a Debbie Downer b/c DH is soo into and I want to be into it for him, but eh, I can't. DD is kinda cute when she gets into it with him, but that's about all that makes it tolerable for me.
My Goodness...another food blog. Featuring: Macarons from a old post with a photo taken by my mom for a break from my crappy food photos!
I'm right there with you Mary and Gracie. Football season is stupid.
However, I do enjoy running my errands during game time. The gym is empty, as well as Target and the grocery store.
Let's not get started on Fantasy Football or any other sport. I don't see the point and I really think it's stupid no matter how many people try to explain it to me.
I can understand where you're coming from, and I don't think it's flameful at all, but I'm completely opposite - I love football and like PP, I love game days. We do the same w/ snacks, dressing in our fan gear, and getting together w/ friends. Just a fun atmosphere IMO that we don't get while watching, say, baseball ('cause let's be real about the O's, shall we? Haha!). I don't get the whole fantasy football thing - personally, I find that whole deal kinda stupid, but whatever.
However, for as much as I LOVE football, I do NOT look forward to it nearly as much as I look forward to hockey.
... every single day of forever.
Think we can stage a fantasy football lockout??? My husband is way too involved!
