Can I brag about my husband for a minute
Let me start by saying that he is not really the "romantic" type. He is very affectionate, etc, but rarely will surprise me with flowers, or plans some over the top activity, etc.
For our anniversary last night, we went out for dinner. Shortly after we got there, he went to the washroom to wash his hands. After our appetizer he went to the washroom again and made a comment about how he was surprised I hadn't had to go yet. I still didn't have to 
When he got back he said he sent me a text message so I grabbed out my phone, I hadn't heard it, and saw this:
Text 1: Heard you're having a *symbol of a baby*?
Text 2: I love you for it
Text 3: Happy 2nd anniversary
Text 4: To show my love and thanks take a peek under the table. I swear it's safe. Seriously.
I was a bit apprehensive, we joke around a lot and I didn't know what I might find under there. I looked, but didn't find anything. He grabbed my hand and ran it along the bottom of the table and there was something stuck there. I grabbed it off and it was a piece of tape. Stuck to that piece of tape was my "anniversary band" for my wedding ring set! We had talked about getting it at some point, but never really seemed to want to spend the money on it, and I was totally find with that. I was totally shocked and surprised I actually teared up.
He said I was foiling his plans because he was going to do it all when I went to the washroom, which I never did. I felt like kind of an a$$ because all I got him was a card and I considered not doing that because I didn't think he'd even get me a card.

My DH is the same way...doesn't surprise me with flowers or any of that...good to know there's hope for all of our DH's like that!! haha
