End of July

I can't believe it's already the end of July!!!  Where did summer go?!?!?  I feel like it flew right by, and it starts to feel like fall here by early September, and I am NOT ready for that yet.

What does everyone have planned for August?  Anything big coming up?

I have my tri, DH has his big race and then we have 2 weddings.  And I'm putting all house projects aside and just concentrating on getting outside and enjoying this weather while I can!

Re: End of July

  • crazy isnt it??

i'm looking forward to August actually...mostly bc we have our week-long vacation on the 20th near Charleston, SC. i CANNOT wait..i so need a vacation! my dad and sister are going wiht us this time and i'm happy that my sis will get to spend time with B. he just said her name for the 1st time! (it's kinda hard for a kid to say...Bethany)

we are going away this weekend (wtihout the little guy..yay! haha jk) up to a friend's lake house. the next weekend we are going to visit our friends who moved to indiana last year. then, i was supposed to go to Cali for work for a week but i think that's getting pushed back to September. then our vacation! wahooooooo

  • My ILs are coming to visit this weekend and staying through next week and then the next weekend we are going up to a friends house for the day.  Other than that we don't have too many plans.  I am pretty ready for summer to be over all ready.  I can't stand this heat anymore.
  • At some point I have to take my certification test.  I'm figuring some time after the 15th so that I have time to study.

The 13th is my 10 year class reunion.  I think we're going.  I'd like to go over a few days early and go to the fair that my town holds every year.  H's schedule isn't certain yet, so I'm not positive.  Not even sure I want to go to the reunion.  With FB I'm in the loop, and don't really miss any of them.

Not much else.  My yearly girl appt is in there too.  Wishing I could cancel it cuz I'm pregnant, but I'm not gonna hold my breath on that one.

  • I am sad that it's already the end of July. I agree, summer flew by.

August we have a few things going on. We hope to play on the boat as much as possible. Every free weekend will be an adventure, and I'm looking forward to that. We are also possibly going camping one weekend to NH or ME. Not sure where yet. We have a bachelor/bachelorette party that we are planning in which we are the best man & maid-of-honor for. Then we have their wedding over Labor Day Weekend. That should be fun. My last day of class is next Monday so I get to at least enjoy the month of August without any classes. I'm looking forward to that!!!

September can suck it and it isn't even here yet. Boo.

  • Eh, summer means nothing to me here so I guess I don't care as much. No beach to go to & no boat so it's the same old, same old. Fall is probably better here.

Nothing exciting in August until Labor Day weekend (technically that's September) since we'll be going to Charleston. I want to go now!

  • I'm planning on having a baby. And, that is about it. ;) We were invited to six weddings this summer and only able to attend one. Three were in AK and two are right after the baby is due so we can't really plan on them.

  • Bucks, your son looks a lot like one of my clients. He's 3 and every time I work with him I want to hug him.

The only thing I have to look forward to in August is going to Nebraska. My sister is having a house warming party this weekend. She's had the house for a few years, but she's finally done with fixing it up.

September will be more exciting. I'm taking my certification exam on the first, we're going to Montana over Labor Day weekend, and my parents are coming into town for a week.

  • I can't believe it's almost August.  There was so much I wanted to do this Summer and haven't gotten to half of it.  I'm taking a couple days off in August and we hope to take a road trip somewhere.
  • Gabby's party is coming up, soon.  That's the extent of our excitement.  Oh look at that - tomorrow is the 27th - last year on this day I found out I was pregnant with Genevieve.  Awwwww.  haha.
  • I'm hoping August goes by really slowly. I go back to work the day after labor day. Blech. We don't have anything planned for August. I was hoping to get R baptized then but the parent class isn't until next Wednesday so I think that will be cutting it too close.
