  • Haha, I saw this on your fb :)My grandma and aunt has been known to fix meatloaf in the microwaveand I couldn't tell. My best friend makes hamburgers in the microwave.I have done eggs, sweetcorn, casserole, etc. I would much rather dooven, but its quicker!Good luck :) let us know how it turns out!

  • I enjoyed it! You can tell it was a man made dinner tonight though!

  • That's how my mom makes it... and hers is by far the best meatloaf I've had. The key is to shape it like a donut so it cooks all the way through... and of course, top it with a ketchup/brown sugar mixture for the last 5 minutes :)

  • Seriously? I have never heard of anyone doing this before in my life. So, do you just make your meat mixture the same way that you normally would? How long do you cook something like that? I guess I could google, but dang this has me shaking my head. Beef in the microwave....just seems wrong to me.

  • Yup. A couple lbs of hamburger, an egg and crushed up saltines mixed together. I use a round casserole dish... form it in the shape of a donut. Pop it in for 10 minutes.... drain it... top it with a ketchup/brown sugar mixture and cook an additional 5 minutes. I don't make it often, because my mom's is always better... but it works for a quick dinner :)

Have you ever seen someone make scrambled eggs in the microwave with milk? Now that freaks me out...
