I am planning on buying one before vacation but I can't make up my mind. I have friends recommending both of them. What made you decide between the two? Favorite feature? Anything extra you would like to add? lol TIA!

Re: Nook Vs. Kindle
I have a Kobo, and I love it. If $$ is a concern, I would def add it to the list to be considered. I got it at a Borders closing sale for $60 (and since they're all closing now, I'm sure you'll be able to get the same deal soon). The ebooks are through the company Kobo, though, so it doesn't matter that they're closing. They get a lot of the same free ebooks as Kindle/Nook and it comes pre-loaded with 100 classics (if that's your thing. I love classics). It's library compatible - and Philly has a FANTASTIC ebooks program. It's the e-ink screen so it's easy to read in sunlight.
The only downside is that there's no lending feature.

I posted on your facebook about my husband having the Nook Color. I bought it for him for Christmas and I researched them repeatedly before I made my decision, then almost took it back because he saw a Kindle commercial and said how he thought the Kindle was better.
They both have pros and cons. Which one you get really depends on how you plan to use it. The black and white versions of both have free 3G or wireless. Nook Color has wireless only.
For the Kindle, you can only get books from Amazon. Nook is a Barnes and Noble product, but it will allow you to read other formats.
The Kindle weighs less than the Nook. Nook Color has back lighting so you can read in the dark, but it may glare too much in the sunlight. The eInk readers are the opposite. No back lighting, but no glare. The Kindle has hard buttons. Nook is touch screen.
My husband loves his Nook Color and says he's glad he has the color one. He can surf the web on it. Magazines are full color. The only thing he wishes he had is the 3G, but he just got a new smart phone and downloaded the Nook application for it. Now he's able to get Nook Books through his phone and then when he gets home and turns on the Nook, it syncs up with what he got through his phone.
I would really suggest you go to a store and play with all of them and see which one fits you best. The differences aren't that major, but one of them may make the difference in what fits you best.
I got a Nook about a month to 6 weeks ago and lub it. I got the newest version that is all touch screen but still eInk, and I chose it because of the library downloading capability. Once Kindle can do that, I can't say that I'd really have any preference one way or another.
A big thing about this newest Nook is that it has an effing LONG battery life. And the first time I charged it up and used it, it was close to a month before I had to charge it again (and that was with using it at least a little bit every day). But after a month, that has gone way downhill to where I have to charge it every couple days. Which sucks.
My thought with getting a Nook Color was, well, why not go ahead and fork up a bit more and just get an iPad?
Oh yeah, I forgot about battery life. Nook Color's battery life sucks. It's 8 hours compared to a month for the regular ones.
