Be sure to tell us how you like it. There isn't much for little boys, I feel bad for DS because his (girl) cousins get all sorts of goodies from Grandma and he gets very little. Camouflage shorts, a t-shirt and an appliqued beach towel. Woo..

I know- it makes me so sad. I honestly don't think Gabe notices (at least not yet), but, boys totally get shafted when it comes to the random gifts from relatives and friends. Girls are just more fun to shop for when you're a girl, I guess- and since girls do most of the shopping and gift giving, it just is what it is.

But, I've had to lay some ground rules to a few (ahem- grandparents)- if you come with a gift for Gwen and it's not her birthday or a special "her" day (graduation? I don't know!), then you better come with something for Gabe, too. I'd rather just not get those kind of gifts, to tell you the truth- it's always the type of thing that smacks of an impulse purchase- super frilly dresses, cheesy princess crap, toys that are well over her age range- not well thought out gifts that we'll get much use out of- and certainly not worth hurting my son over.

I'm thankful that I only have one at this point, but I see that my nieces get a lot of dresses made for them (my MIL is an awesome seamstress, she is the type who can look at something and recreate it) and he and my nephew both kind of get the shaft.
