I have almost no personal messages on my newsfeed main page. Currently I see:
1. Two posts from two different girls selling Thirty-One Stuff. One selling Scentsy - annoying.
2. 8 posts from a girl that keeps putting up links to shelter dogs. No, she does not work there. Sweet, but also annoying.
3. 3 posts from a girl that keeps "liking" things from her own Etsy store. Other store - okay, but your own on repeat every day?? Sheesh.
4. Two posts from people that "logged a run". Um...yeah, I'm sitting on the couch. I do not care how much you just ran.
I must be grouchy.

Re: My Facebook feed is full of random stuff today.
It's not my settings. It's the annoying people I'm "friends" with. I keep hiding things like horoscope posts, running posts, etc. Then a "new" one comes out and I have to hide that too.
I shudder to think what my feed would look like if I hadn't hid Farmville and all that junk.
My cousin is a music video poster. Drives me nuts but he's my cousin.
For a week I tracked the daily total statues for one of my friends. She averaged 8 a day. Within a day she can go from "best day ever! love life!" to "can this day end? things never get any better".
I don't have 8 things happen to me a day that are Facebook status worthy. No one cares that you're awake, and omg work is so boring, and now you're off of work and eating dinner, and you're going to bed after a great and/or terrible day. I might get one good status a week, the rest is just crap.
Oh, yes - the music videos. Forgot about that!
Thankfully I only have one consistent music video poster, but it's always dedicated to her boyfriend. Like "This song makes me think of my man. So luck to have him in my life" at least once a week.
Her bf is a truck driver so her statuses are a rotation of "I am so sad he's leaving. I love him so much. Best thing to ever happen to me." to "Boo! He's leaving. Can't wait till my man gets back. Only 5 days to go!". Every. single. week.
hahaha I totally agree! Have you seen the movie Easy A? Her teacher says, "I don't know what your generation's fascination is with documenting your every thought... but I can assure you, they're not all diamonds. "Roman is having an OK day, and bought a Coke Zero at the gas station. Raise the roof." Who gives a rat's a**"
