Salary info

I have my annual review at the end of the week.  I know I will be getting a promotion/new title (just not 100% sure what it is) and I want to be sure I have done my homework salary wise for a few different possibilities.  Where can I get local info for my job type other than salary.com?

Also, any tips for negotiating salary if I'm not happy with what they offer me?  I'm never any good at this.

  • Honestly, I'd be happy to be getting a raise at all at the end of a review, and wouldn't necessarily be pushing for more than what they're giving you.

  • It never hurts to ask...worst thing, they'll say no. But you never know, they could say yes! Or even counter it. If you feel comfortable asking then go for it! The most successful people in the world got where the are by taking risks, not sitting there waiting for things to happen.... Good luck!!!
