Wine bar & brunch recs (SF)
Hi ladies-
DH and I are heading to SF for this marathon this weekend. I'm normally a planner but I've totally failed for this trip. We won't have car and will be staying near Hyde & Bay. I'd love to hear about places to go to for brunch, happy hour, wine bars and anything else (non-food related is also welcome).
All the alcatraz tours are booked- bummer. Otherwise, we don't really have anything planned and will be flying out Tuesday afternoon.
TIA!

Re: Wine bar & brunch recs (SF)
For brunch I like Paul K's, which has bottomless mimosas and blood marys. Here is a list of places for brunch that also have the same bottomless option: http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=bottomless+mimosas&find_loc=San+Francisco%2C+CA
Its been awhile since I have been out and about in the city, but I used to love getting dinner at Cha Cha Cha's in the mission, shopping on Union st in the Marina, and dinner in North Beach.
Good luck on your marathon!
Lime in the Castro for brunch. They have a pretty good brunch with bottomless mimosas...plus it's very accessible via public transportation (Muni K/L/M lines, and the J line all drop you off within a few blocks)
There is O'Reilly's Irish Bar and Curry House close to you which is great. North Beach is super touristy, so you might want to head to Chestnut Street for brunch. There are some amazing options like Tacolicious (casual taco bar) and Circa which also has bottomless mimosas. Bin 38 on Chestnut and Scott is a wine and beer bar with food. I would recommend the brunch at Tipsy Pig on Chestnut. It is amazing. There is Cellar360 at Ghiradelli Square for wine tasting, if that is something you want to do. If you want to wine taste on Chestnut, I would suggest California Wine Merchant and it is close to all of the restaurants I have named. A good wine bar/brunch combo would be Ottimista. This is on Union Street at Octavia, so you would have to cab or take the bus, but it is delicious, Italian food and wine.
I live right in SF next to all of these spots, so hopefully this helps!
Thank you for all the suggestions. I'm sure glad there are plenty of options versus none or limited.
Can't wait to try some of the places.
