s/o shopping - Mommy: 1, Carly: 5
It's definitely more fun for me to buy things for Carly than myself these days! I found one pair of pants that fit me and they only had that cut in gray and I really wanted black, too.

Didn't like any of the shirts I tried on either. Sigh. But I got Carly some fall outfits. She's still in her 3 mo clothes so I bought 6 mo and when I showed Ryan later he thought I bought 2T or something bc he said they looked huge. Hopefully she grows into them! Lol.
Re: s/o shopping - Mommy: 1, Carly: 5
She definitely will! I never thought Robert would grow into his baby legs and I can't believe how tight they are on him.
I feel kind of bad for Robert. I haven't bought him any clothes since we got so many as gifts, but I definitely will need to get him 9 month stuff. Our clothing supply definitely dwindles down at this size.
Now only if I could stop buying CD's.
Believe me - she'll grow into them very quickly. JJ is now outgrowing his toddler clothes, and we have to start buying size 4 boys' shirts instead of 4T. It's crazy how fast they grow.
I think the only store I really shop at now is Ann Taylor - it's a good thing they don't have a baby/toddler line, because I'd probably buy more things for JJ than me. It's definitely more fun to shop for kiddos.
I find myself looking more and more in the kids' sections of stores rather than for myself. At first it was for the cutest nephew ever! LOL. Now it is becoming more and more about Charli. Which I don't mind,
DH and I were out over the weekend at the local mall after eating at Red Robin (YUM!). We walked through Old Navy and I passed the womens' section and headed straight towards the kids'. DH says to me "You don't think we will over do it with clothes and stuff, do you? I hope not."
So I said "Uh no. Do you know me at all? I only shop for clothes when we need them. And I only buy when I get a great deal!" Meanwhile I am saying in my head I hope I can handle not buying a ton of really cute stuff!
I definitely buy more for Margot than myself!! I got a gift card to Marshalls for my b-day. I had to seriously force myself to not spend it all on Margot!
Carly is a little peanut, huh?! Margot is in all 6m and some 9m already. I look back at her newborn and 3m outfits and swoon! They were so darn cute!!! I can't bring myself to pack them away yet. sigh.
It is SO tempting to buy things for LO before they get here, but seriously don't go overboard. We are STILL getting baby gifts and Robert is nearing 6 months old. It's insane. People LOVE babies.
So true! Our problem is that we have summer stuff up to 9 months and she wears short sleeves and pants to daycare even in this 90 degree weather bc it's cold in there. So we have the wrong season for her... and didn't have enough warm stuff even in her 3 mo clothes so momma got to buy her some
. We also have my nephew's clothes, but I don't want her looking like a boy everyday, lol.
Yeah I definitely am trying not to buy anything. I know a lot of people usually give clothes as shower gifts so I'm holding back.
You know what's funny? My MIL just sent me a picture message of some girly shoes from Walmart she is buying Charli. LOL. And she is the person who doesn't spend money! Oh Lord. I may have to reign her in!
OMG yes, you will get tons and tons and tons of clothes at your shower. We specifically didn't register for clothes thinking that would deter people. Nope! Emily is set until about 12 mo. The hardest part for me is that we have very definite seasons here, so I know not all of it is going to get worn. Cute little short sleeve dresses in December aren't going to cut it!
The Sand in My Snow Boots
Yeah I have started this also...although I have bought a couple things for me recently.
Mostly for her though.
