  • How exciting for you!!

I don't know what you do, or what the position is for - but the only advice I would give would be the basics:

Research the company really well. Know it and its history inside out. Know the key players (at least make sure their names ring bells for you)

Research the position well - know what they are looking for, and what YOU can bring to the table. *Meaning, what can you bring to that position that isnt listed in the description?

I know so many interviewers will ask the typical questions like:

    what are your strengths/weaknesses?

Give an example of a negative situation at your former workplace and how you diffused it (hate that one!)

Anyway enough of that. Most important thing: GOOD LUCK!! Im sure you will nail it.

    :)

  • Thank you all!  And thanks Alisha for the advice!!  I am writing down a bunch of notes and things in preparation.
  • Good luck!  My only additional advice is to be personable (as you are, of course).  Most of the time I've known people to get a job over other equally-qualified candidates because they were outgoing and they felt that they would fit well with the company's culture.

Also, don't forget to send thank you notes immediately afterward.  At one job, I know that my thank you note was saved and kept in my file.

  • Just want to wish you good luck!!

  • Thanks so much ladies!!  I appreciate your support!  Well the interview went fine but I am unable to get a sense of where I stand.  So I'll let you know if I get hired!  Fingers crossed......
