New Phone and Torture

I currently have a very old Blackberry Curve.  I have probably had it for 3 years, and I got it used from a friend who probably had it for at least a year before that.  It has been a good little smart phone, but needless to say, it is a dinosaur in technology years.  I have frequent problems with it freezing simply because you can't update the software on it anymore.  I blew my new every two with Verizon last year when I lost my job (luckily for only a month), but had to downgrade to a regular phone to lower my phone bill.

I am finally up for a new phone, and FI did the research (he's a tech geek) and told me that I would like the new HTC Thunderbolt.  He prepped for the transfer all weekend (again, he's a tech geek), and had my new phone ship right to my office so that I could sign for it.

So it's here.  It got delivered.  And now I have no idea what to do with it because FI won't answer his phone.  Arrrghhhhh!  This brand new, beautiful, very intelligent android is just sitting here on my desk plugged in.  I had to get help just to put the battery in. Sad  It is honestly torture!  Ok, vent over.

Re: New Phone and Torture

  • Setting it up is confusing and sucks (the store did it for me), but once that part is done, it truly is very easy to use, so don't worry.  :o)  I am NOT a techie person and resisted getting a smart phone for a long time, but I have an HTC android now too and it's very easy to use.
  • I have an HTC Android (Evo) and once you get the hang of it, I am sure you will love it!  I am a techy nerd though, so my favorite part of a new phone is playing around to see what it can do!  HTC's are great phones though, I've had a few and never had any issues with them.

Download Angry Birds (regular, seasons, and rio), Out of Milk (good for making lists), and Abduction (addicting game)....
