What is your favorite clothing store? Why?

Trying to get this board moving a little more.

Re: What is your favorite clothing store? Why?

  • I really like stores like TJ Maxx and Marshalls, though lately I buy most of my clothes online. I just don't have the time being in the city to shop and the deals are rare bc there aren't sales due to the volume of people. Online I usually buy enough for free shipping and it's SO much more convenient.
  • My main store is the Banana Republic Outlet. I like the classic look without the full price. I bought some fall stuff at Victoria's Secret. I love their clothes, but wait for them to be marked down. I also like TMaxx, but it is hit or miss. For shoes, Aldo all the way!

  • Lane Bryant for bras and undies

Fashion Bug for other clothes because its cheaper than LB.

Clothes Mentor is good too when  I can get over there because I can get slightly used things for way cheaper ($16 LB jeans as opposed to $50 in store)

  • I tend to find stuff that fits, is comfy and isn't ridiculously priced at JC Penney.  My sister and I were just bathing suit shopping and we started at Macy's.  She got 2 suits there and they weren't too expensive.  I looked around but the only suits I liked were $100.  I was like, I don't wear a bathing suit enough to make that worth it.  So we went to Penney's and I found a suit I liked for $40 and wound up getting a bunch of shorts and shirts too.
  • I love the Gap- I worked there in high school and college- and although they went through this weird, lets be trendy phase- they are going back to well made- basics...

I also find great stuff at target- tees and tanks..

if I need something dressy- I've at luck at macy's but most of the time its jeans and yoga pants...

  • Charlotte Russe! I used to be a manager there and it was all I wore. Im having a bit of trouble transitioning to the "adult working woman" stores, but for the time being Im ok with that. I love their clothes!
