omg, I just read your post. I CAN NOT BELIEVE that some woman said "yeah, I knew R was deaf all along, because of the way she looks"
What exactly does a deaf person look like? What was she trying to say?

Yeah, I was definitely pissed. Still am. What in the FRICK does that even mean???
She was all "Is your daughter deaf? I can tell by the way she looks." I was all "Really? What do you mean?" She said "Her eyes." I asked if she meant that she's constantly looking around and noticing things in her peripheral vision. She said "No, it's the way they look. She just looks like a deaf baby" !!!
I happen to think my daughter has gorgeous eyes. And I don't know WTF deaf people "look" like.
The kicker is that she has a deaf son herself. I would think she'd remember back to when he was a baby and people said stupid sh!t to her. It makes it worse, IMO.
Someone deserves a box punch.
And MWHS grads can back me up on this, but we had a basketball player who was deaf, and he was smokin' hot. So for me, that's what a deaf person "looks" like.

R is a beautiful baby girl! Most of the time I forget she has hearing issues. And I think it's ridiculous that she thinks there is a "look" to deaf children.

it's not like deaf=down syndrome where there is a distinct look and yes it's way worse that she has deaf son. WTF!
