Goood Morning!

It was nice to be off for a day, but I've got a lot of work to get done today!

Before we got our A/C we'd picked up a dehumidifier to help control the humidity to keep the floors looking good.  Well, we discovered last night that it had been leaking.  On to the hardwood floors.  Derek was pissed.  Right now there are a few boards that are pretty damaged, but I'm really hoping that as it has some time to dry out/it becomes less humid out/in our house that it will look a lot better.  There are so many areas of this hardwood that Derek think needs replacing that he's just getting really discouraged.  Not a good night.

Tonight should be low key, maybe grouting?

How is everyone today?

Re: Goood Morning!

  • Oh Raynes, that stinks. Hopefully after things dry out, they won't need replacing.

Last night I finally got all of the thank you cards written. Today at lunch I will finish addressing, and hopefully get them in the mail.  I just want to be done with them.

Otherwise it is the same old routine for me.

    Have a great day ladies.

  • Raynes--that sucks!  Hopefully the floors will be okay when they dry out...

Yesterday was good...got in a good run, did 4 hours of reading for my class, made an easy dinner and then went out for ice cream.

Today I have more reading for my class.  I am trying to get two weeks of assignments done this week so that I am a week ahead and have more time for the final paper.  I'm also going to get in another run and maybe mow the lawn this afternoon.

  • Today, I am great.  I am leaving work at four and heading to the airport.  I can't wait to get home and see my sister, even if we are going to be working on a giant yard sale all weekend.  That said, I already miss Jim and I haven't even left yet.

  • Raynes - sorry about your floor, hopefully they will look just fine when they try out.

Yesterday was okay, got to the gym before work. Totally ruined it by snacking all evening. I'm planning to go this evening.

I am hoping that B and I will finally get curtains today as yesterday was a no go. Thought I might make us a picnic dinner and we could go watch the sunset on the ocean, maybe play in the water a bit.

  • Good Morning!

DH starts nights again tonight so it will be a quick dinner. He wants homemade pizza. Then the same routine as always with the kids.

  • Good morning. Nothing too exciting going on over here. Hopefully both H and I will be at home tonight at a reasonable hour (we were both held up yesterday) and maybe I can make a run to the gym. Other than that, it should be a low-key evening.

    Have a great day, ladies.

  • Last night was pretty uneventful.  I got out to the track and did some speedwork (800 meter repeats) and it felt good to change things up.

Today I'm off work because I work this weekend.  I go in tomorrow and then work 7 days in a row.  Boo.

For today I have a lot of running around to do.  I plan on going to the running store about my FuelBelt.  I lost 1 bottle and want to get a bigger add on pound.  I need to return a tank top that I've decided I don't want and I have a massage scheduled.

I think I'm going to make an unexpected trip to the walk in clinic today.  Yesterday my eye started bothering me and now it's painful and running non stop so i'm afraid I've got a scratch or something.  I hope if it's something like that the MD will give me a referral to my eye doc (who is a close friend, I just don't want to use and abuse him) so I can go see him and have it covered.  My eye isn't gunky at all so I don't think it's an infection and it hurts like a mofo.

  • Good Morning!

Last night was pretty productive. I made a yummy dinner, cleaned up, did some laundry, cleaned the floors and then went for a 3 mile walk.

Tonight, I am hoping to run to the mall quickly and then home to go through some baby stuff with DH.

    Have a great day ladies!

  • Sorry, raynes, that sucks. I hope they dry out ok and don't need to be replaced after all.

Today I'm having lunch with my brother. My mom just called me after talking to his fiances mother and told me that HE is being a total brizezilla when it comes to wedding planning. He keeps vetoing everything that his FI wants and insisting that they do everything his way instead. I guess his FI is allowing him to act this way and going along with his decisions rather than voicing her own opinion. I'm hoping that I'll be able to talk some sense into him at lunch.

Otherwise, just trying to get some stuff accomplished at work. No big plans for tonight so maybe a quiet night at home before going into another farmer's market weekend.

  • Raynes, sorry to hear about the floor.  Hopefully it dries out pretty well.

ABarber, that's so funny about your brother.  I keep picturing that crazy episode of Bridezillas were the guy was the bridezilla.

My evening and morning haven't been the greatest thus far.  Casey, our dog, is still sick.  He's not eating, has lost a lot of weight, and has some serious tummy trouble.  The vet yesterday was not overly helpful, and just recommended going to a specialist.  So now, I'm waiting to hear back to see if they can get us in today or tomorrow.  Otherwise, we will have to take him in through emergency which costs a whole lot more.

  • Raynes - that sucks!

Neptoon - Hope Casey starts feeling better and you get some answers.

I'm going to Alaska, I'm going to Alaska! I leave tonight and I'm stoked. I however have a chest cold, so camping might be out of the question, but I can still crash out at my parents house and see everyone.

  • Morning ladies

I found out that I can't seem to find an appointment with a dietician because the ones that have availability work with people with serious health issues. So the hunt continues.

I have a busy next few days. My brother in law is getting married tomorrow (at the courthouse) and then we have dinner with them. Then Sat I have a bachelorette party that I have to go to because I'm a BM. It should be fun but it's like an hour away from my house so I don't know how late I'll stay out. Then Sunday we have Myles' welcome home party. I'm pretty excited about it and for everyone to come see/meet our little guy. We never had a baby shower so this is kind of like our shower, but different.

So I probably wont be around much the next few days.

  • Good morning ladies. I'm having a busy morning and will likely head out in a bit to the offsite office. The temp didn't work out so now my workload is doubled. I'm up for the challenge though and I'll survive.

Today is MIL's birthday so after work I'll head to their house for dinner. Hope everyone is having a great day.

  • Hey guys! I just finished my last drama class, and I'm really bummed it's over! It was a great time and I learned a ton.

Like Kari, I'm heading off tonight too! First to Victoria tonight, then to Salt Spring Island first thing tomorrow. I'm very excited for the wedding on Saturday... but I'm even more excited for Hawaii on Monday!

  • Morning! DH ended up bailing on poker night, so I went by myself. Instead of going out with the girls, we got wrapped into playing. It was fun, but I was out within 20 minutes. Poker has never been my best game. All the other girls went out pretty quickly, so we just enjoyed each others company and a bottle of wine.

We leave for Wildwood tomorrow, and will be down there till Tuesday. I can't wait to get to the beach! We are leaving pretty early tomorrow morning, so tonight will be spent packing and loading up the car.

I don't know if you're trying to have it covered by insurance or anything but if you're not, a lot of nicer health clubs have nutritionists on staff.  You may want to check out some in your area, if you haven't already.
