I am in need of some advice
I am thinking...seriously thinking...about moving out of state. The question is that my divorce is not yet final (within weeks it will be) and not sure how to approach the situation with xh and how to go about trying to get approval to leave. I know this sounds confusing but I need help on how to handle this. Please help!!!!!!

Re: I am in need of some advice
Run it by your ex and see how he feels about it... before you do so make sure you have some real workable ideas on how he will be able to see his child.
Have you already agreed to a parenting plan?
Go in to the discussion with a plan. A real, fair, workable plan. Consider how he would feel if the roles were reversed...if you show some forethought and empathy, I think it will go better than if you go in defensive.
Does he currently have a lot of involvement?
Also, make sure that if you're moving to be with someone...you present to him that while you're moving to be near someone, that isn't the only part of the plan. He needs to know that you've got the absolute best interest in heart for both yourself and your daughter. That will make it easier for him to swallow. Make sure you have a plan...if you were to end up being "alone", per say, would that make you return to Nebraska?
The best thing to do is make sure all your ducks are in a row before making a leap of faith. The best decisions aren't always the ones that make our hearts happy, but keep our heads out of our a$$es (thanks Dad).
