Do people still use beer/soda can koozies?

I'm thinking about ordering personalized beer can koozies for favors for a surprise 30th birthday party I'm throwing my husband next month. Do people still use these though? I wouldn't get those big and bulky foam ones but rather the foldable neoprene ones.

At first I was thinking personalized shot glasses but with the koozies, I was thinking anyone could use them... even for a soda can.

Thoughts? I'm not sure if people still use koozies.

  • Yep, if I have a beer, it has a koozie.

  • We still use, they work fine for bottles too.  Good idea! :-)
  • No, I got rid of ours because they were just sitting in a drawer collecting dust.

  • We use them periodically.
  • I have never owned a koozie or used one in my entire life. Then again, we aren't beer drinkers either. Ironically ,I did start collecting shot glasses though.
  •  I think that is an awesome party favor!  Do it!
  • My ILs do.

  • I don't but its mostly because I don't tend to drink from a can. DH does though whenever we go to the beach.

  • Yes. The mister uses koozies often when he's working around the house. I bought him a beer koozie from his favorite band--it's thinner than the old style koozies.  One of his favorite beers is Sly Fox 113 IPA and it is sold in cans (or 22 oz bottles). The koozie is perfect for keeping the coaster from getting wet.

    Great idea.

  • Sorry for the post and run yesterday. It's hard to get time to sit here with 2 kids now. Anyhoo... thanks for the feedback. We aren't really koozie users but I do know people who are. I don't expect for everyone to use them and I realize some will end up right in the trash but if just a few people keep them, I'm OK with that. I'm also going to be getting the thinner neoprene ones and not the thicker foam ones. Thanks for the input!
