So we finally brought the cat to the vet on Saturday. No diabetes, no thyroid issue. Looks like early kidney issues, which can be maintained for a long time with a prescription diet. So yay! Meanwhile, she suggested an ultrasound, which at $450 might have to wait a bit. No urgency.

THIS! But, at $450, wow!!
I feel like vet bills are so astronomical that it makes it hard to care for your pets sometimes! When Shrek had all his surgeries, I'd be up a creek without a paddle if my parents had not paid for it and let me pay them back. I paid for the initial surgery not anticipating it wouldn't work and 4 ER visits.
Anyway, I'm glad Neptune is ok and will still be around for awhile!
