It's a video of someone getting ready to eat a squid in japan.  It's served whole and as the site says...

This is a dish called Odori-Don. It has a dead squid on top that ?dances? when Soy Sauce is poured on it, activating it?s neurons

When the pour the soy on it, it start squiggling around, even raising it's tentacles so that it looks alive.  It's extremely disturbing to watch.

  • Okay. I didn't watch the video (it would take forever and a day to load) but I spent almost three months in Japan in 2004 and I will vouch that they ate some of the weirdest stuff on a daily basis.

Before I left the US, my language instructor took me to a Japanese restaurant and ordered things like eel and sashimi (hunk of totally raw fish) etc.etc  for me to try. It isn't usually as bad as it looks, although eating something moving would creep me right the heck out, no matter what it is.

I took SO many pictures while I was there (even of the food), and lost about 15 pounds due to what I was (and wasn't) eating, but overall it was amazing. :)

  • OMG. I regret watching that. But if you read the single comment, it's even more disturbing - bleh.
