I have some of the full sling ones, and they essentially have holes in the internal harness. Big ones your boobs fit through. They sometimes even leave lines on my monster boobs.
I find them comfy but would never go anywhere outside the house in one. I lounge around and sleep in them, because they give no support to my huge boobs (but then I wear an H or I cup) and I had to get an XXL to fit them decently.
But they're great for hanging out and sleeping in or wearing out if you don't have humungoboobs.
