How do you organize your crafting supplies?
Right now I have everything shoved into my closet, but it is a little inconvenient when I need to dig stuff out. Its also not organized very well (everything is just put in storage totes).
Re: Those w/o craft rooms
I have a craft corner in our family room, I store my cricut on top of my desk.
I have this to store paper, I bought it at Home Depot.
And I have this to store small items such as stamps and markers, I think I bought it at Office Depot but I know that you can order it from amazon. It's available in other colors, mine is is 5 shades of pink.
My "craft room" is in the back of our WIC.
ETA: I meant to say so all of my stuff sits on the closet shelf above my desk.
I have one of those rubbermaid 3 drawer rolling things stuffed to the brim and shoved in a closet. Several plastic bins under our bed. Fabric on a shelf in a closet. A tackle box with more tools. A dining table with a serger, sewing machine and cutting mat.
Don't do what I do!
It's a mess!
My Valentine Bookends (2~13~13, 2~15~09)
I have all my fabric sorted into clear plastic tubs that have the hinge lids. I put a label inside the tote so it doesn't get damaged. I have all my printed cotton in one, flannel and apparel fabric in another and the last one has solid color cotton as well as my applique supplies (heat & bond rolls, the stuff I've already got onto heat & bond) and I can fit my thread box in there as well as my cutting mat and cutting tool roll.
I have a rolling cart with random notions in the top drawer, interfacing in the center drawer and patterns and embroidery hoops (I have a lot of those hoops!) in the bottom drawer.
I think I have one more tote of assorted craft stuff, but it's not clear so I don't have to sort it very "pretty." My MIL and SIL mock my solid fabric tote because it's a rainbow in there.
I have 4 smaller tubs of ribbon that are sorted by color too.

Lurker chiming in!
I have a 3 drawer rolling cart in my closet stuffed with buttons, stickers, glue.. (pretty much everything for scrapbooking other than the paper). I'm using two of my dresser drawers one for scrapbook paper, and the other for fabric. Then I have various small Rubbermaid bins one for threads, bobbins, needles, etc... And the others are used for ribbon storage. Dining table holds my sewing machine and cutting mat. I rarely move it, but the sewing machine has a place in the closet when I'm not using it. And lastly I have a big Rubbermaid bin in the closet for everything that isn't scrapbook and sewing related, like yarn, crochet books, dial rods, etc.. Not the most organized, but it works for me.
My craft room is in our dining room (seriously, the table is on one side, my sewing table is up against the opposite wall), so I have my sewing table with a skirt that I just shove things under. I have one big rolling tub that works nicely and I need another one, plus a mending pile, two large tubs of scraps (organized neatly into a "to be scrapped" bin, a 5" squares bin, and a 3.5" and binding scrap bin. My 2" squares at split into lights and darks in two large flour canisters on the table top (it's my leader-ender project, so they need to be close at hand). I have a silverware basket (like it is a rectangle split in half, and half of that is split into 3) for pens, markers, extra scissors, and so on, plus a smaller little tote for the stuff I need close at hand like my scissors, rotary cutter, thread I'm using...I have several Mason jars with pin cushions on top where I store my selvedges, buttons, extra pins, and so on.
Then I have a buffet, and instead of putting extra dining room stuff in it, I store all of my yardage in it. It's awesome...someday I'll do a blog post on it.

I use the rubbermaid clear tubs. I have 1 24" one that stores all of my WIP and my rulers and extra fabric and small self healing mats, and then one smaller one with my feet, cutting implements, pins, etc. in it.
My extra fabric is in a medium sized tub nearby, organized into ziploc gallon bags by project.
Stand up for something you believe in.

So excited to meet Amelia Catherine!
I currently have a 3 drawer Rubbermaid container, but I'm about to upgrade to a 5 drawer container. It fits in a corner of the living room by my desk.
I also swear by plastic baggies. Especially HUGE ones. I have several different kinds of 8.5x11 paper and they fit perfectly in 2 gallon bags from the dollar store. I put my stray crayons and paper scraps in quart sized bags.
You know those plastic pencil boxes? Pinking shears and rubber stamps/stamp pads go there.
Michael's also sells sturdy plastic files for 12x12 paper. They're about 1.50.
And labels, labels, labels!!!!
My fabric stash is organized by color in an old hand-me-down dresser in the master bedroom. The drawers are all labeled. Thread and bobbins go in a rubbermaid container under the bed. Random notions also have their own rubbermaid container under the bed. Batting is in a large rubbermaid container next to the dresser.
Current and future quilting projects each have their own bag. The bag holds the fabric, the pattern with a sticky note explaining which fabric is meant to fulfill each requirement (like "Pink polka dot = FABRIC A"). If I've purchased binding and backing fabrics, they go in the bag too.
My sewing machine lives on the dining room table most of the time. When it needs to go away because company is coming, it's stashed on top of the fabric dresser.
Scrapbooking paper is sorted by color and stored in those flat 12x12 boxes. Usually there's more than one color paper in each box. Anything smaller than 12x12 goes in an accordion file by color. Stickers are sorted by type (flowers, sports, etc) in zippered pouches inside a binder. Markers, pens, scissors and punches are in pencil boxes and similar style bags. Right now all my scrapbooking stuff is under a 6 foot folding table that I can't get to because my husband's stuff is in the way.
I knit on my sofa, bed, or anywhere else in the house that I can find. I keep my yarn in a basket next to the sofa. Also I bought this from Ikea and it's awesome for storing yarn.
