Are you ready for some football!?!
With preseason starting in just a couple of weeks, the football excitement is starting to kick in for me. I never used to watch football until I met Jason, and then I figured I'd give it a shot and learn about it to try to have something else in common with him, and now I love it. More so than the actual game, I love that it's something we can share together; we even have matching jerseys. I also love hanging out with friends while yelling at the TV with a big ol' bowl of popcorn or chips and salsa infront of us and ice cold beer in our hands.
So, are you excited for football? Who's your favorite team? Do you have any game day traditions or snacks that you always make for games?

Re: Are you ready for some football!?!
I'm a Redskins fan (which is hard sometimes lol) but I also cheer for the Jets. When Jason first started having me watch football I wanted to pick a team different from him and just had him name some and tell me their colors...he got to the Jets and I said 'ok, I'll go with them" lol. Eventually I turned into a Skins fan just because they are one of our local team and Jason's a huge fan, but I still cheer when the Jets do good
What you and your Mom do sounds so fun! What a cool tradition for the two of you to share.
And I agree, I thought the commercials for the last super bowl sucked. In fact, I thought the entire thing was pretty sucky and boring.
I am psyched football season is almost here! I live in Notre Dame country so I am a HUGE Fighting Irish fan! The atmosphere around my area when it is a home game is awesome! Love it! The only thing I care about is watching the game and wearing my jersey. No snacks needed. I eat during half time.
As far as professional football goes I stick to Indiana again and root for the Colts. I am not as crazy excited for these games as the Notre Dame games, but I still like them and root for them. If I miss some games no biggie. If I miss Notre Dame games though there better be some kind of life crisis going on!
This is more me, except I'm for the Florida Gators. I don't really pay attention to pro football, but if anyone asks I just say the Tampa Bay Bucs. But when college football starts up, I often schedule my Saturdays around UF games.
And I have no traditions regarding food.
I'm a big pro football person. I just like all of the excitement. I'm a steelers fan, but I'm not feelin it this year for them. I think they need to just calm down for a few years.
I live in Penn State country so college FB is huge around here and our falls revolve around PSU home games. But I'm not too big of a college fb fan to be honest. We'll see though, maybe I'll get into it more this year.

I think I posted/commented/and harassed the ladies enough this past season for them to know I
the Packers....and Aaron Rodgers sweetsweetass. Seriously I'd climb that.
My dad's always been a Packers fan, I didn't get into them till about 10 years ago? I know I was in high school. But before that I loved the Cowboys, not sure what my reasoning was, but I loved them as a kid.
Really DH & I only get a ton of snacks and pig out for the super bowl. The rest of the time he'll either go to the game (since he's a Pat's fan) or we'll relax and watch it on tv.
I am a huge Steelers fan; which is funny because until after college I didn't care much for pro football and was about an hour north of Pittsburgh.
I'm also in the heart of PSU country but I view that more as a headache and cheer for Michigan (not that I follow it that much anymore).
My parents and FIL are also Steelers fans, DH could care less although he did get into the superbowl last year.
Haha! This!
I am extremely excited about football season!!! My family has patriot's season tickets so I can usually get to at least 1 game and then the rest are either spent watching with the whole family OR sitting at home trying to explain it to my husband! We just got two REALLY good trades with pretty bad attitudes so I am excited to see if Belichick can turn them around! We also have family in WI so we have some pretty healthy banter with them when we play Green Bay.
PS- I was totally convinced that Ochocinco had legally changed his name to that.
HA! Albert Haynesworth is a piece of sh*t...good luck with that lol.
Its funny you say this because I lived in Philly for 5 years and I always thought Eagles fans were the cockiest around. I guess it's all about who you're around!

lol very true...my Mom, Stepdad, and younger brother are all Eagles fans and they are pretty cocky about it too. I think I've gotten so used to the embarrassment of being a Skins fan that whenever someone brags about their team actually winning (which we know nothing about lol) I take it as being cocky.
