we made it! barely...i am so tired, just no sleep last night! and i was up extra early to come in and get some serious work done before i leave at 12.
had a craptastic run last night but watched a cute movie with g--"i love you philip morris." while it was slow at first, it got really good for the second half, very funny, good twist, and it is a true story! we both enjoyed it.
hope everyone has a good friday! i cannot wait for our drive down to mass so i can sleep in the car

I made blondies last night, but they're *really* greasy. Next time I'm going to cut back on the butter cause it it was really too much.
I'm visiting the camp I used to work at today. And bringing baked goods. My sister said I had better see her before I leave camp - even though I'll see her tomorrow. Looking forward to going to the balloon festival tomorrow - watching 100 hoot air balloons take off is awesome!
sooooooo glad it's friday. J and i got into this morning which always makes for a crappy start of the day. I'm not a morning person, never have been. You would think after 5 1/2 years he would remember this and leave me the He!! alone in the morning!
Got paid yesterday and money is already gone due to bills.
Sometimes it just sucks being an adult!
Last night Greg ended up having to go into work for a little bit. I met him there for "drinks" really they have a brownie peanut butter dessert there that I am now in LOVE with!
Im sure this weekend we will be hanging out with our friend who is moving next weekend.Not looking forward to next weekend when we have his going away/30th bday party. I'm sure I will be the pregnant lady crying in the corner.
This will be my check by the end of the weekend. I hate the 1st of the month.
Friday! Eff yeah! We're headed up to PA after work today. My boss is still out, so I'm hoping K finishes up early enough to leave by like... 11am. ha ha :-)
K went golfing last night and was out late. I got to talk to my BFF for a couple of hours and enjoyed having some ME time at home. Pretty good night.
This has been us for the entire month of July. For some reason it seemed like every single penny went to bills and we have nothing left over for fun. You will get through it and things will get better, I promise!

Friday. Sorta glad about that. We have had storms for the past two nights, so that means a panting, shaking, pacing Piper puppy in bed with us, scared of the thunder. Last night I held off giving her the herbal calming stuff from the vet and it only took about 15 minutes before the storm calmed and therefore so did she. It's gotta be giving us baby wake up practice... at least that's my take on it.
I have been lonely all week with H not coming home til almost 9 or after every night. He is working on a car with a friend to make a little extra money after work. Got a little annoyed at him last night... SIL (and fam) sorta wanted to come out tonight for dinner/bonfire and hanging out, but of course he is still working on the car. I was frustrated b/c I thought he could at least ATTEMPT to make it home by seven and we could still do it. No go. Sorta p.o'ed about that, we hardly ever get random visitors since we live in BFE... no one likes to drive out here.
SIL called this morning and changed plans anyway, so whatever. /rant
Trying to force myself out of my funk, I should say that I'm sorta excited about next weekend though, we are planning to go back to where we got engaged (three years later) for the coast guard fest.. beach, sun, water, time away, etc, etc.
Planning on grocery shopping today. Whoo. Probably going to be pretty expensive since we need big stuff like dog food, H's razor blades, and laundry detergent. My coupon clipping can only help so much. Wish the job hunt was going better.
It also doesn't help that we had 2 weddings last weekend, a b-day party next weekend and then another wedding weekend after that! Bills are enough, but it sucks when the extra money you have goes towards all these gifts! But, these are all people we love and care about and they all supported us with shower gifts, and wedding gifts, so it's all good! Just makes things difficult!
Ugh...I paid bills earlier this week and realized I have almost no cash until i get paid again...which won't be til mid August. Happily got my family leave benefits in the mail yesterday which means I can breathe! We've all had those days/weeks/months. Like Shauni said, hang in there, it will get better.
Susie Im sorry you had a rough night :-( I know this doesn't make it any better but they will never end. E still has them and heII I have been known to call my mom at midnight or later. Deep breath and good news is they don't happen as often when they get older.
Woohoo Friday! Last night after getting home from work, DH had the A/C on for me, which was nice because it was hot out. I felt so blah so he figured we should go out to dinner and we tried this new place (new to us) called Diggers Diner. I had a veggie omelet, yum!
This morning, work from home and the dog and I finally walked 3 miles this morning...my running this week has been in a funk. Not much planned for the weekend, today is MIL's birthday so I need to get some flowers this afternoon and her gift card is arriving in the mail in a few days.

I'm so excited for tomorrow. I'm having dinner with a bunch of my high school friends (from tobago) and their SOs at Perilla in NY. It's one of our favourite restaurants. It's owned and operated by Harold who was the 1st season Top Chef winner. The food is amazing.
Really, I'm mostly excited about my friends. I've known them for 25 years now. I haven't seen them since my wedding. It should be a fantastic evening.

Dude, I had a bachelorette party and a shower I hosted earlier this month ($600). This week we had a birthday party($45). This weekend we have a wedding ($250), a birthday party ($50), an anniversary party($75), and another bridal shower($30, being cheap, but this is the second shower for this couple we are attending). In 2 weeks I have another bach party ($50) and another wedding($250). I totally hear you. (Not to mention the two other weddings I have in September($600).)

I am so glad it's Friday. It's pay day for me too and my check is all going towards bills too
. Had we not booked our trip to HawaiiI would not have been broke, but eh, it's okay.
I am so looking forward to going camping tomorrow. Not looking forward to my legal writing essay that is due Monday and a contracts exam also on Monday! I am going to be working like a mad woman. Our famous Gilroy Garlic Festival is going on this weekend and I will not be going. Being around crazy drunk people, the heat, and paying an arm and leg for food and beer...no thanks I will not partake.
Morning! I, too, am so, so tired. Dropped H off at the train last night, which he took to SFO airport to go on his HK/Bejing trip. Boo, I miss him already. So does the puppy, who was crazy last night. At one point she pushed the covers totally off of me, then climbed into the C curve of my pregnancy pillow with me. Awww.
I'm hopefully going to just relax this weekend, since I haven't had one of those in a loooong time. Tomorrow, visiting with my bridesman and his (almost) 5-year old son, who is visiting CA alone for the first time. Sunday, meeting my mom to order our PBK chair (yay!) and ottoman, and some other shopping.

well, I felt like crap from weeks 4-8. But only got sick once. Then this morning i'm in the shower and got sick!! WTF?!?! I was so worried about not falling but I couldn't help but think "Damn, I just cleaned this shower 2 nights ago!!!"

Damn, Shauni, sounds like you're gonna be hemorrhaging money all summer. That stinks. I'm old so all of my friends are already married, but they all got married pretty soon out of college when I was super poor and it didn't seem like I would ever catch a break on the gift situation. I definitely feel your pain.
I have good weeks and bad weeks. I still get sick in the morning but I have for YEARS gotten sick in the morning so I am not sure if it's pregnancy related or just me being me. However, this week I went to feed Piece in the AM and the smell of the food did make me sick to my stomach.
