*Lori* (LoCo)

Hey - any news yet on the pink slips?  I'm crossing my fingers and toes that you are one of the ones who gets good news today! Smile

Re: *Lori* (LoCo)

  • No news here. I just got out of a long meeting and haven't heard if anything's going on, and no emails have been sent about it. I'm actually working out of our HQ office today and didn't tell anyone I'm here, so they won't be able to find me anyway :)

I'm actually having a great day... the product I work on got approval to launch in Europe by the medical authorities there.

  • Well, that was much ado about nothing. There weren't any layoffs today that I'm aware of.  There definitely are some coming though.

Ahhhh workplace gossip, gotta  love it! I'm glad everyone was safe (for now) and continue to hope that your awesome job on the recent project will keep you off the layoff list forever!

  • Well, there was some merit to the rumors. The CEO sent a company wide email this morning that there would be a 13% headcount reduction - disproportionate to the HQ staff (like me). So, I would guess there will be more like a 20% cut to my department. Fortunately we already have some open headcount so I'm hoping we won't lose too many people.

I guess people had heard that something would be happening by the end of the month and that's how the rumors got started.

  • Sounds like you're safe, but I'll still send job vibes that you're good to go and the most valuable people around you stay too!
