Just thought I'd update for those interested. The surgery went well, it was a really short procedure, pre-op and recovery took way longer than the actual surgery. My sister and I got to the hospital this morning at 10:30 am, I was scheduled for surgery at noon. They took me in shortly after getting there and getting checked in, did all the pre-op stuff and then around 12:15 the doctor came and it was time to rock and roll. I don't remember anything else until I woke up in recovery around 2 pm and I was so thirsty and hungry. The nurse wouldn't give me water, but did let me have a can of ginger ale. I sucked it down. After being awake about 30 minutes or so, they finally let me get up, use the restroom, and I was discharged.
I have 2 small incisions, one inside my belly button and another small one on the left side of my belly button. No real pain, just a little sore and tired. I really wanted a Reese's Blizzard or Sonic Blast, but the nurse said I probably shouldn't have that right away, so my awesome sister made me some delicious homemade chicken soup which I've already scarfed down and am contemplating a second bowl.
Thanks for all the thoughts and well wishes, I love having you girls for support when I need it most! You guys are the best!

Re: Surgery Update
Glad that it was quick and relatively painless, and it's great to hear that you've bounced back quickly! I had a DQ milkshake this afternoon, so I'll say that it was in honor of you!
(I didn't check out the other thread, what surgery was it?)
Wow, you are recovering from surgery like a champ!
Rest up!
So glad to hear it went well! And major props to your sister for making you soup... sisters are the best.
vibes for a quick recovery!
