Iowa Football Ticket Question

This is a longshot but I thought I would ask here in case anyone has any connections or advice. DH and I are huge Iowa fans- I grew up going to every football game as both my parents went to school there and have season tickets and then my brother and I went to school there as well. Going to games and tailgating with DH are some of my favorite memories of when we were dating. The past few years we haven't made it to many games at all. Like two in the last three years. We have just been busy with Ella and with me being so sick last season we didn't go at all. I know it really bums DH out because he LOVES game days. So anyway, his 30th birthday is coming up in October and I would really really like to somehow buy tickets for one of the suites for a game. But I have no idea if this is even an option and don't have any connections with anyone that owns one. Does anyone know if there are any that have tickets for sale to the public? I thought it would be fun to tell DH we were going to a game for his bday and then when we get there seeing his surprise as we go to a suite instead of the outside seats. He would be in heaven. Any suggestions?

Re: Iowa Football Ticket Question

  • Man, I wish I had a connection to score some *free* (or any!) suite tickets.  I can relate to memories of tailgating ... and how it looks so different over the last few years.  According to my Hawkeye H, the suites are sold out for this season (they have 12 suites and group seating inside).  They lease suites each season and if they don't all sell out, they move to individual games.  There might be some outside club seating, so I would at least try that option!  It wouldn't be air-conditioned, but you would still have an awesome view and there may be option to have a server, etc -- like the "cool" people in the suites!

Here is the info of the special seating :)  it's worth a try!  Great idea :)
