wedding attire question
we have a wedding to go to tomorrow afternoon. It's supposed to be about 90 degrees and the ceremony and reception are outside. Does being pregnant give me an excuse to wear flip flops (fancier ones, not just the ones from ON) especially since by late afternoon my feet tend to be a tad swollen with this heat?

I agree with this. I would try to wear nicer shoes to the ceremony, but if you are going to be uncomfortable, I wouldn't worry about it and go with the nicer flip flops.

I think fancier flip flops are perfect for an ourdoor wedding when it's supposed to be 90 degrees. Especially since you're pregnant!
I made the mistake of wearing normal dress shoes to my cousin's Houston wedding in August (when I was PG) and my feet were so swollen by the end I was crying trying to get my shoes back on to walk back to the hotel. It was awful. I would've walked home barefoot, but not in the streets of Houston!
I say yes, wear the fancier flip flops. Everyone is going to focus on the bride and FWIW, I have seen people wear far worse at weddings.
Plus, this can give you an excuse to get some new shoes

I think that flip flops are totally fine for both ceremony and reception. My friend's outdoor wedding was in South Carolina last summer, and it was about 120 with the heat index, and I totally wore flip flops. I tried to wear heels, but I changed before I even left the hotel. And I wasn't pregnant.
Another option might be a cute pair of peep toe ballet flats??? I saw some cute ones this summer at Target ...

This. I wore dress shoes to an outdoor wedding at the end of june ... bad idea! I wish I would have worn flip flops. no one would have cared or judged. My feet were so sore and swollen and I was paying more attention to that rather than the wedding.
