Dolly at Wolf Trap~! Need picnic ideas.
Anyone else going to see Dolly on Sunday?
I haven't sat on the lawn at Wolf Trap in years. I know exactly what booze we're bringing - but food - not a whoooole lot of time to pack a complicated picnic - ideas? Fave picnic food ideas for me and DH? (sans kids)
Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.
Re: Dolly at Wolf Trap~! Need picnic ideas.
John and I usually do sandwiches from Subway or something like that if we want a meal. But -- if its hot -- we do a lot of hors d'oeuvres like cheese and salami and crackers, olives, chips and dips. and lots of finger food desserts.
does that help?
you can also pre-order picnics to pick up - I've never done it, but it's an easier option...

"What is a week-end?"
Here's what I did for our latest outdoor movie:
~Zucchini ribbons (one of my fav summer, no cook meals)
~bread salad (tomatoes, small hunks of break, cukes, olive oil, balsamic)
We also like Popeye's Fried Chicken for picnics.
