Gift ideas - need your creative juices!
I'm going to a lunch birthday party tomorrow for my gym instructor. I have never spent time with her outside of the gym, though we do work out together a lot. I don't know much about her, and can't even really tell her style since I only see her in workout clothes.
I want to try to find a vintage necklace at a thrift store because she mentioned she loved that, but our selection here is slim and I need ideas for a backup plan! Any thoughts on wonderful (relatively inexpensive) gifts that would make just about anyone happy?

She's 29. Not married but has a long-term boyfriend who she lives with. I'm trying to stay in the $20-$25 range. Sorry, I just got a pay cut!
I think that's a reasonable amount to spend on an acquaintance - no worries
Umm...yes definitely any type of cool costume jewelry. A cute wristlet-type purse. Gift certificate for a mani/pedi (if you know one in her neighborhood). A bottle of wine and some wine charms. Gift certificate for movie tickets so she can go with her BF. Those are some off the top of my head!

I'm big on gift cards in that situation also. How about one to Sephora?
Or, a bottle of wine, but you might not know her well enough to know if she drinks and what kind of wine she likes.
Thanks ladies! I didn't want to go for a gift card because I'm not totally comfortable with people knowing the exact dollar amount I spent. I know that's weird, but it's me! And she doesn't drink so no wine - boo.
Lucky for me the thrift store had an AMAZING jewelry selection! I got her a necklace and a bracelet, and a few things for myself too
