My husband would have been crushed (and probably ticked off) if I told someone else before him. That would never even cross my mind!

I voted friend, my BFF and I had both been going through IF treatment and had both been TTC for a year and a half. We looked at each other's fertility friend charts online all the time and talked about all the gory details almost daily. I had been texting her pictures of my pee strips going "is that a line or a shadow?" for several days before I got a clear positive. I'd also showed DH the faint lines but he wasn't looking at my temp charts daily or texting me before I got out of bed in the morning to inquire about my temp and POAS status. So really, it's a tie between DH and BFF, but I voted BFF because she was so involved. LOL

With my first two I told DH first. With the third I told my mom because I freaked out.

I didn't tell my parents until I was 13 weeks!

DH wasn't home when I tested so he wasn't the 1st person I told, but he was the 1st IRL person I told.

With DS, I told my BFF first. DH wasn't home, we weren't trying, and I was totally freaked out! I actually told him a few days later, lol. I wanted to be sure first before I freaked him out too.

The very first pregnancy, I told BFF first. Well, she was in the bathroom with me basically forcing me to POAS.

With Avery and Joseph, I told DH first.

Yes, this. I can't even imagine!

In my case, the online portal told me my beta number from my blood draw that day and I told DH I thought it worked.. I POAS two days later since I wanted to be sure it wouldn't be wasted!

I voted DH, but I just realized I told my coworker 1st with DS. She was in the room with me when the RE called to tell me (in a conference room at work). I just started bawling and freaked her out and told her as I was calling DH.

dh. i actually couldnt bring myself to say the words so i wrapped up the pee sticks and gave them to him as an early anniversary present. LOL we told immediate family after our first doctors appointment at week 9, then everyone else at week 13.

I told DH but if I had tested a few hours later I wouldn't have been able to talk to him (he was on his way offshore). There was no way I would be able to hold it in until he was able to IM (they had no phones available on the boat and I had no computer at home-so it would have been a while), so my sister probably would have known first.

I tested in the morning before work, and DH had already left for the day. I didn't want to tell him over the phone, but I was so shocked I had to tell someone. So practically the minute I walked into work, I told my supervisor (who is also one of my dearest friends). So since I was able to get it out of my system, I was able to wait and tell DH after work.

Thanks for the responses... I am out of my predicament. I tested positive and was wondering who to tell first, but since my parents, husband, sister, in-laws, and bf will all be around next weekend for my 30th, I have decided to wrap up an Indianaplois Colts onesie and give it to my husband in front of everyone.
