Calling any knitters and mommies/mommies-to-be
Re: Calling any knitters and mommies/mommies-to-be
I like to crochet/knit blankets for new momma's to be. But I did find an adorable pattern for a baby hat and some booties that I think I am going to make next.
I like to crochet blankets because they work up really fast

I agree with everyone else. What I have heard from other mom's is that you can't have too many blankets.
Thats true to an extent. Washable is the MOST important thing. If it becomes the baby's favorite thing it will be brought all over the place and/or spit-up and milk smell horrible!

Thank you Lisa!!! You're such a sweetie! Do you have the pattern for the booties/hat? I'm getting so excited for this project!

That's true, too! I guess you have to use it in certain circumstances where it least likely to get dirty.
I will send that your way tomorrow, I think I scanned it and sent it to someone a while ago. if not I'll still get it to you one way or another. Happy to help! If you need any video references I have some on my favorites I really found useful I could send your way for any stitches besides basics.

I'm currently making one of the hoodie blankets and find it to be absolutely adorable! It takes a lot more time than I thought it did, though, and I'm thinking that moving forward I won't make them because I get bored easily.
I made my niece two crocheted animals and my sister loved them so much she brought one of them with her to the hospital to sleep with Sydney after she was born...from what the family has told me the stuffed animal route is now expected of me for all future babies being born...I don't mind because they were SO much fun to make!

Oh man, it would be so much fun to make stuffed animals, I can imagine those are a hit! I bought a book yesterday for knitting stuffed animals, I may try to tackle that after I finish some simpler projects
