I love that this board is becomming more active, so I thought I would post this to try to keep it going... I saw this on the "Wedding Recap and Withdrawl" Board on The Knot... titled
" Wedding Ceremony Surprise...

Our groomsmen dropped their pants after we were pronounced husband & wife. Apparently my husband knew about what they had up their sleeves... but I was in the dark! "
What would you do if your groom/groomsmen pulled a stunt like this? What would you do if you were a guest at this wedding?

Re: XP from TK: WWYD/WWYT??
If I was a guess I would think it obnoxious and rude and wonder how drunk they were.
If I were the bride I would probably think the same thing. And if my spouse knew it was going to happen I'd be pretty pissed.
I have no problem with baring asses for fun and humor but there is a place and time and that isn't it. IMO.
I'd be furious. I spent so much time and effort putting togther the wedding of my dreams just to have the GM ruin it with dropping their pants. Im pretty sure as soon as I let DHs grandma/grandpa know DH knew about it and did nothing to stop it, I wouldnt need to say anything to him b/c they would have him buried 10 feet deep.
Its just so disrespectful to the couple who just vowed to love each other for the rest of their lives. But hey, its gay people that ruin the sanctity of marriage right?!
People are inherently stupid. Weddings make it painfully obvious -- KevinandMonica
I'm normally one of the first ones to start losing articles of clothing, but at the end of my ceremony??? Geezum. These boys need some manners. Keep your dang pants on til the reception for crying out loud.
And Bridgett, I like the way you worded it much better. I think almost everyone has a hand in the downward trend marriage seems to have taken, especially bozos like these.

I think if someone was going to do that, save it for end of the reception.. like when people are tipsy and tired and grandparents have headed home. Not during the ceremony, some of the most important minutes of one's life.. also captured on film (not like you can really edit your bridesmaids/groomsmen out of the pics/film for the ceremony... the reception is a lot diff). If someone did something like that at a wedding, that trumps the more important stuff.

I agree with this....I would have been like a lunatic if my grooms men EVER pulled a stunt like that and if DH knew about it...the wedding night would not have been fun for him...
I would be horrified as the bride. If my DH knew I would be super ticked.
As a guest I would feel the same way. Nobody needs to see that anytime, especially at a wedding.
