Do you have flood insurance, and are you in a flood zone?
We aren't in a flood zone (though people very close by are), so DH didn't want to get it. I personally would like to, since it's only another $350 or so a year. I just think better safe than sorry. We're currently "discussing" it. I'm afraid to purchase at this time of year though, do you think the rates will be higher?
Re: S/O Flood insurance
Rates are controlled by the National Flood Insurance Program, therefore they do not vary by time of year or company. The only way they change is if a rate increase is approved by Congress.
Huh, I didn't know that. I assumed it was like any other insurance. Thanks!
