favortie restaurants in Newport
For my daycare provider. She is going to Newport this weekend but staying in Kingston (um yeah, didn't ask me for recs before picking that location!). I told her I would give her suggestions in Newport and Narragansett. You just have to go to Galilee IMO! So I am going to tell her Georges and Charlie O's. But honestly my URI days were a long time ago so I thought I would ask you ladies.
I don't have a real favorite spot in Newport. We just usually go where ever. I do like the ABC though....

What is she looking for, fancy? Casual? I love Charlie O's and George's too. The Mews is also great.
22 Bowens in Newport I love. the Red Parrot. Brick Alley Pub. ABC of course. I haven't been to many other restaurants aside from those though! I stick to what I know.
Kingston to Newport is kinda a trek. Oh when did I become such a Rhode Islander? But then again, I've never been to either George's or Charlie O's.
Trio, Turtle Soup, and Spain in Narragansett.
The Mews in Wakefield if she is looking for something casual.
Bay Voyage Inn in Jamestown for a fancy dinner.

I hate you very much
We went to George's last year on our Anniversary and honestly I didn't love it...loved the scenery, and being outdoors, but the food wasn't excellent...I got clam strips and they were over cooked...some of my co-workers have said the same thing...
We went to Brick Alley pub in Newport about a month ago and really liked it...we haven't really been anywhere else...
