Walnut Hills Pediatric Dentistry

We've got an appointment for Sophia to see Dr Waage next Friday and I'm wondering how he works on the kids teeth.  With our old dentist she sat on my lap facing me then laid down with her head in the dentists lap to get her teeth looked at.  Does Dr Waage do this or do they sit in the chair on their own?  I'm just wondering if I need to line up a sitter for Collin during the appointment or if I'll be okay to bring him along.  Or maybe I should just get a sitter either way.  I'm so undecided on this one!

Re: Walnut Hills Pediatric Dentistry

  • M sat on my lap just as you described. It was his first trip to the dentist, however.  He could have laid down on the table (while watching Dora) but he wasn't into it.  I guess it depends on how you think she'd do?
  • Ella sat on the chair the whole time. She sat up while the hygenist cleaned her teeth and then laid down while Dr. Nick looked at them. I know if she had been uncomfortable she could have sat in my lap as well so I guess it kind of depends on how you think she will do.

  • G laid in adam's lap (or sat actually this time), but others her age have laid in the chair. They are really good about doing what is most comfortable for the kids.  i think that you'd be fine bringing him if he is pretty laid back. If you have a crazy 1 yr old (like ingrid) it is best to bring reinforcements.  :)
